As a result, in addition to new legislature, lenders have been more willing to work with distressed borrowers to help keep them in their homes. Anyone who is experiencing troubled times right now, is not alone. In fact, the chances are that one of your neighbors is dealing with this right now. Some estimates state that over 50% of the properties that close this year will be short sales or foreclosures. Most people do not know they have options to save their home or their credit.
